Practical. Trauma-Informed. Built Specifically for Your Family.
Wise Care Agency provides expert coaching, education, and support to adoptive, foster, and kinship parents — not the kind that tells you what you should do, but the kind that helps you understand why your child does what they do, and what to try tomorrow morning.
Support
You're not alone in this. Wise Care Agency provides compassionate, non-judgmental support for adoptive, foster, and kinship families navigating the realities of post-adoption parenting — without shame, without blame.
Guidance
Trauma-informed expertise you can actually use. Drawing on clinical experience and lived understanding of attachment, trauma, and neurodevelopment, Camillia helps parents reinterpret behavior and respond with clarity instead of crisis.
Trust
A safe space, built on real experience. With a background spanning Johns Hopkins, C.A.S.E., and Adoptions Together, Wise Care Agency offers families a relationship grounded in confidentiality, credibility, and consistency — every step of the way.

Specialized Expertise Families Can Actually Trust

Clinical & Trauma-Informed Training
Camillia brings clinical experience rooted in trauma and neurodevelopment, including her work at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Training for Adoption Competence (TAC) certification. This foundation means families receive guidance grounded in real clinical understanding, not generic parenting advice.

Adoption & Foster Care Specialization
Years spent with organizations like the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) and Adoptions Together gave Camillia direct, hands-on insight into the realities post-adoptive and foster families face. This is not a side specialty — it's the central focus of her practice.

Educational Advocacy & Whole-Child Understanding
Beyond behavior, Camillia understands how trauma intersects with school struggles, neurodiversity, and academic challenges. She helps families navigate IEPs, advocate within school systems, and see the full picture of their child's needs — not just the symptoms in front of them.
Meet The Founder
I’m Camillia Whitehead, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, adoption specialist, and founder of Wise Care Agency. My career has taken me from labor and delivery at Johns Hopkins — where I watched newborns in withdrawal and unprepared adoptive parents arrive with no idea what they were walking into — to directing clinical services for one of the country’s leading adoption mental health organizations.

What families actually face — children with trauma histories, prenatal substance exposure, attachment challenges, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral needs that no standard parenting book addresses — is left entirely in their hands.
